## Evidence label

Fresh mainstream reporting from CBC (posted August 2, 2026) paired with official project/reactor/strategy sources. The supply-chain claim is important but should be kept narrow: Canada's first planned BWRX-300 SMRs use low-enriched uranium fuel that Canada does not currently enrich domestically, according to CBC's reporting and its OPG/Natural Resources Canada sourcing. This is not a verdict against SMRs, not proof the project will fail, and not investment advice.
