In Rockefeller University of New York by Jeffrey Friedman.  Now, I had already finished  medical school by that time, so  it makes sense why I would never learn about it.  But then I started to notice  those links in the paper she  sent me.  They were all tied to melanin.  They were tied to equine and  exocrine glands in the gut and  our sweat glands on the surface. And then the most magical thing  happens is she sends me a paper  that shows that the Rockefeller  Foundation paid an ungodly  amount of money for the research to make sure that Amgen would do this.  Amgen comes up with a synthetic  leptin so that, you know, they,  you know, understand why they  have to do this.  They have to make it synthetic  so they can patent it, so they  can sell the drugs.  And what do they do?  Literally after paying this  record amount which everybody  can go fine now on a 10K report. They cancel the leptin trials  and I thought this was really  interesting.
